YUNGBLUD Occupy The UK Tour @ London’s Kentish Tour / Gig Review

Yungblud at London’s Kentish Town

With the return of live music, Yungblud (Dominic Harrison) began his week long residency at London’s Kentish Town Forum as a part of his long awaited Occupy the U.K. tour. After being postponed a few times due to the pandemic on the 9th August the string of gigs began.

After the lifting of rules Yungblud took to the stage with a 2,300 strong crowd (full capacity at last) finally being able to perform tracks from his latest album ‘Weird!’ as well as debuting his new single ‘Fleabag’.

The gig had everything we love about live music. Crowd surfers, security frantically handing out water, mosh pits and thousands of fans belting the lyrics to their favourite artists songs, leaving a satisfying ringing in your ears where you could still hear the fans singing along to ‘Strawberry Lipstick’ hours later. It really was a night that pulled on your heart strings in the best way.

As a part of keeping everyone safe Yungblud and the team handed out free reuse able masks on the door each night (which we absolutely loved). This was a creative and inclusive way of being able to keep everyone safe and feeling comfortable back in a gig environment.

The energy of Dominic and his band was unmatched as the gig went on, with Yungblud throwing himself back into touring life with everything he had. With tears, smiles and his trademark pink socks, the Doncaster born singer gave it everything until he was dripping head to toe in sweat, a smile beaming across his face listening to his fans (known as the Black Hearts Club) sing back every single word.

Yungblud will also be back touring later this year on his ‘Life On Mars’ touring covering iconic venues such as London’s Alexandra Palace and Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse.
