Arliston are the latest alternative outfit to come out of the capital. A trio comprising of three completely different music backgrounds and personalities; Jordi, Jack and George all provide genre influences ranging from metal to indie, from all corners of the UK and beyond.
Now the band return with their haunting new release ‘Centre’. Wistful vocals layer an experimental soundscape of jolting percussion and a swirling piano line, making this an intense and unforgettable track. Reminiscent of the sounds of Justin Vernon, The National and Wild Beasts, you can imagine listening to ‘Centre’ on a rainy day, contemplating life and the world around you.
Speaking more on the single and what it means, Arliston explains:
“The identity of the ‘Centre’ is still very much Arliston at its core, but the fresh approach and bold textures took the project to an entirely new place that we were surprised and delighted to arrive at.“
“‘Centre’ is a song about getting your priorities wrong and subsequently having to sacrifice something precious.”
Arliston’s debut EP is on the horizon – so keep your eyes and ears peeled!
