Hollow Twin are back with their new single ‘Low Clouds’. The latest to come from their upcoming album Soft Hearts, which is set for release on January 21st. Over the last year the duo have kept their productivity levels HIGH; releasing a series of singles that have helped bring their alluring sound to the forefront.
‘Low Clouds’ is an introduction to Hollow Twin’s sound for me, and it has already made me check out the rest of their discography. Written about forgetting the feeling of love, the song eases into motion with a weight of anxiety to it. Guitar strings are picked slowly as they move gingerly with hints of violin and horn in the background. It produces an instrumental that haunts with sombreness while the vocals fill the room with their engaging and dreamy tone.
It really wraps you up in its sound and makes for a fascinating listen. While at first it sound subtle, there’s a real depth to it as the elements make themselves heard on repeated plays. It was already easy to replay, but that just makes it even easier to want to listen to the song over and over again. This has been a great introduction to the duo for me, and I’m looking forward to hearing what more they bring this year with Soft Hearts too.
