The Tyne – ‘Jessica’ / New Single

The Tyne deliver a debut to remember with alt-pop-punk banger ‘Jessica’.

The Tyne are an exciting new band who initially formed in London in 2019 before vocalist Ryan Lofthouse and bassist Cooper Stout moved to the North East and recruited Josh James on the guitar. The lads have gained an impressive 400,000 followers on TikTok since starting out and now fresh from signing with Slam Dunk Records the time has come for the newcomers to drop their debut single!

Taking inspiration from the guitar music they grew up listening to as well as Gen Z artists like Yungblud and Olivia Rodrigo, this three-piece are here to ride the wave of the pop-punk resurgence; their goal is to“bring everything we love about other genres into pop-punk” so if you’re a fan of the likes of My Chemical Romance and Blink-182 but want to take a breather from dated genre tropes then this debut is not to be missed!

When listening to ‘Jessica’ it’s easy to see why this band have had such a rapid rise to success. The track is an alt anthem that bursts with relentless energy. Ripping guitar, dynamic lyrics and punchy vocal delivery all come together to form an exhilarating track, but this isn’t just your average pop-punk band; The Tyne enjoy experimenting with offbeat piano and synths which add an element of depth and keep the track sonically interesting.

Last weekend the trio kicked off their UK tour which includes dates in London and Glasgow, give them a follow on their socials to see what they get up to and hear about future releases and don’t forget to stream ‘Jessica’ below!
