What is Dead Good Music?
Dead Good Music is a music blog that started back in 2021, following the decision to blend Words For Music and Sounds Good together. Our biggest aim is to discover and feature the best new music around. Whether that’s from the UK, or beyond.
Our second biggest aim is to shoehorn the humble Orange into as much of our content as possible. Seriously, have you ever seen a blog commit to such a gimmick before?
It was created from a love of music alongside a passion to go “Hey, we think this pretty good. You should check it out.” Support for music – music blogs, especially – decreases each year, so we’re pleased to still be standing strong in our desire to discover new music. There’s so much of it out there, which is what keeps us motivated to play our part in finding it.
Send Us Your Noise
If you’re an artist or represent an artist who has new music out, you’re more than welcome to get in touch. We are guitar heads at heart, so tend to feature Indie, Rock, Punk and Post-Punk the most. There are times where something outside of those genres gets featured, but please stick to those mentioned if you’re interested in contacting us.
The easiest way to get in touch would be to send an email to deadgoodblog@gmail.com. We wanted to keep Dead Good Music available for everybody, so while we might not check our inbox as much, that’s still the best option to use. You can also drop a DM on our socials and we can work things out from there.
For 2025, we will be part of Musosoup. It allows us to make the blog sustainable, and cover the costs that come with running it. If you’d like to send us your music via Musosoup, you can click our affiliate link HERE which should invite you to join.
For full transparency, Musosoup allows us the opportunity to get paid in exchange for providing coverage, but we will always consider the music first. We are music fans, and that will forever be the main factor when it comes to choosing what we cover. Essentially, if we like it, we will feature it.
Ideally we would expect to receive a submission for music that’s no more than a month old. There’s a TON of new music released each week, so we always have to keep an eye out for what’s coming.
As mentioned, this venture is a hobby, so we cannot reply to all messages and submissions quickly. If you haven’t had a reply from us in a couple weeks, please assume that we will not be looking to cover your music. Thank you.
