She’s In Parties bring us their third single in the form of dreamy, ethereal, slow-bob I’ll Follow You.
Fronted by Katie Dillon, with friends Herbie Wiseman (guitar), Matt Carman (drums), and Charlie Johnson (bass), the four-piece played their first show in 2021, with previous singles making it to BBC Music’s ‘Track of the Week’.
The dream-pop quartet take their inspiration from the likes of The Cure and Slowdive; they offer us something nostalgic but also contemporary. With only three singles, they have managed to carefully define their sound already.
Dillons’ airy vocals captivate you by the first verse. The song is layered beautifully, with crashing drums, lingering keys and delightful calming riffs.
I’ll Follow You is floaty and romantic; it makes you want to lie down on a shag rug with a glass of red wine or snog under the stars.
Their escapist sound is paired with dreamy lyrics which hook you in and, upon second listen, you’ll catch yourself singing along.
She’s In Parties are certainly one to watch. They are set to share festival lineups with the likes of Pale Waves and Dinosaur Pile-Up by the end of the year. I can’t wait to hear what they bring us next.
