Weekend Debt deliver with a fresh new track.
Glasgow based indie-pop fourpiece Weekend Debt are back with their second single this year. The new track follows their melodic February release ‘Why Don’t You Realise?’ and is a raw and energetic bad-breakup anthem.
The track that explodes into action with dirty guitar riffs, rattling drums, and a rumbling bassline following suit with the energetic rock sound of their previous releases but bringing a fresh new energy. The track holds nothing back with its frantic energy and is a perfect tune to soundtrack your weekend as restrictions ease and we get back to some sense of normality.
The track’s lyrics tell the story of a breakup and are packed with passion and honesty. Weekend Debt commented: “Nobody Everyone is a song that came from bottled-up emotions about a breakup. The more I let these emotions get to me, the angrier and more upset I got, which probably resulted in such a hard and heavy tune, something we hadn’t really delved into properly. It’s definitely one of our favourite songs to play live.”
Weekend Debt are one of Scotland’s most exciting new acts and are gaining rapid momentum with every release, we are definitely keeping a close eye on them here at Dead Good and we can’t wait to see what they do next!
