Flowers of Evil have teamed up with Nikki & The Waves to discuss all things fizzy-pop on ‘Cherry-AID’. The newest single from the Manchester group caps off what’s been a productive year for them, releasing certified dancefloor banger ‘Mop the Floor’ and its equally banger-y remix EP Mix The Floor.
While things may have aimed for the dancefloor previously, ‘Cherry-AID’ offers a more guitar-driven vibe that sits really well with us. Blending together the sounds of both bands, the song floats between Marvin Gaye and Suede to create something that we cannot get enough of. Littered with sweet melodies throughout, this is a delicious drink for the ears.
The laid-back vocal delivery flow between eachother throughout and sink deep into the instrumental wonderfully. Its easy-going nature makes it easy to relax, drop everything and just enjoy the good times. ‘Cherry-AID’ is a well-needed tonic that provides a lift and is one that’ll be enjoyed over and over again.
