From busking on the streets to headliner status; a promising debut from Manchester’s rising talent.
Emerging from the streets of Manchester, 16-year-old Alex Spencer has unleashed his debut single ‘A Night To Waste’.
The young artist, armed with his guitar and developing talent, has taken the city’s streets by storm, and after signing a deal with Modern Sky, he’s ready for the world to hear his music.
‘A Night To Waste’ offers a first taste of big things to come for Spencer. The indie-pop track paints a picture of teenage life in the suburbs; a bubbling escapist anthem about parties, pints and nights out.
This ode to youth in suburban England offers up a massive chorus, intelligent lyricism and a fervent vocal performance that’s sure to please listeners.
Spencer said: “It’s about the life of a teenager who wants to live their life a little and get out of the same old boring suburb. It’s about enjoying a good time with their friends and that ‘none of us have got a night to waste’. It’s the same for so many people my age, especially after all the setbacks we’ve had over the past few years with lockdowns stopping us in our tracks.”
