Issy Sutcliffe – “The Cost Of Living” // New Single

If you want an artist that pulls no punches in both performance and song writing, then look no further than Issy Sutcliffe.

Earlier this month, Issy released some more new music. “The Cost of Living” is another head banging anthem with lyrics that certainly reflect the times we are living in.

From the opening second, it’s a track that’s manic throughout, with lyrics touching on the struggle of being out there on your own – fighting for survival.

It’s a three-minute banger that explains in a beautifully brutal way the society we all face.

This track is the latest release of a three track EP called The Story of Issy Sutcliffe, Vol. 1, which also includes previously reviewed tracks “FERAL!” and “Especially Not In my Barbie Bed”.

The EP overall is a brilliant mix of styles, which show the versatility and uniqueness of Issy.

FERAL!” is primal, raw and animalistic,  whereas “Especially Not In my Barbie Bed” is yearning, vulnerable and poignant.

With a talent as special as Issy, I hope we get many more volumes to her story.
