TOM A SMITH & SWIM SCHOOL – ‘I DON’T WANT YOU TO HAVE TO REMEMBER ME FOR LONGER THAN YOU EVER KNEW ME’ // NEW DEAD GOOD MUSIC

Tom A Smith has had an incredibly busy couple of years, marked by a string of new releases and standout performances. He dropped several well-received singles, including ‘Get Me Started’ and ‘Never Good Enough’, further solidifying his rising status in the music scene. In addition to his releases, Tom has played a series of high-profile gigs, including festival sets at Live at Leeds and Kendal Calling, as well as his own headline tours, showcasing his growing presence on the live circuit.

Recently, it was announced that Tom will be portraying Eurythmics star Dave Stewart in a semi-autobiographical film based on his life in the 1960s and 1970s. While that alone would be cause for celebration, the Sunderland singer has also just dropped a new single and revealed that he’ll be supporting The Clause on their upcoming Weekend Millionaire tour, set to kick off in November.

Titled ‘I Don’t Want You To Have To Remember Me For Longer Than You Ever Knew Me’, the catchy new single is a collaboration with Alice Johnson of swim school. Described by Tom as a reflection on the fragility of life, the track highlights how much he has grown as both a songwriter and performer, while also showcasing his ongoing evolution as an artist. The track opens with Alice’s distorted vocals, soon joined by Tom’s unmistakable voice. Over the years, Tom has performed both solo and with a band, and his current lineup is truly a force to be reckoned with. A powerhouse of sound, the band weaves intricate instrumentation around the melodic vocal performance, creating a dynamic arrangement that intensifies as the story-like verses unfold.

‘I Don’t Want You To Have To Remember Me For Longer Than You Ever Knew Me’ is out now from all digital stores.
