Olivia Booth releases “Victim” // Review

The North West music scene is currently jam packed with talented bands and solo artists, both male and female.

One such artist is singer/songwriter Olivia Booth, and this past Friday (January 10th) saw the release of her latest single, “Victim”.

The song comes at you straight away with a thumping guitar and booming drum beat before Olivia’s elegant vocals come in.

After one listen it’s already got an anthemic quality as Olivia sings about the frustration of wasting time and energy on situations that could’ve been avoided. It’s a clear sentiment that they’ve made their bed and now they can lie in it.

Olivia’s vocal range is outstanding and shows her amazing versatility.  Every pent up emotion of the song’s subject matter is felt in her delivery.

I’ve had the good fortune of seeing Olivia play live and it’s always a show where the audience are involved as we hear stories of her life experiences. She’s a complete natural with the crowd.

Her lyrics convey the same life experiences and with a headline gig coming up in Manchester on 15th February, the sky’s the limit for this very special talent. Olivia is wanting this gig to be a party atmosphere and it’s one I can’t wait to see.

“Victim” is available to stream now.
