What is Dead Good Music?
Dead Good Music is a music blog that started in 2021 with a strong desire to feature nothing but, well, dead good music. Our aim is to champion and promote upcoming artists, while also highlighting new releases from established acts too. All while shoehorning in the humble Orange as much as possible too.
It was created by Adam Reeve and Alex Wise, who did pretty alright with Sounds Good and Words for Music and, after realising their interests and music tastes aligned pretty well, decided to put their minds together to create…this.
Why does the blog exist?
Dead Good was created from a love of music alongside a passion for writing and supporting artists we like.
Support for the music industry seems to have dwindled over the last few years, so music blogs are becoming more and more important, especially for new artists. There’s a lot of music out there, and we wanted to play in part in going “Hey, we think this is pretty cool. You should check it out”.
What music do we cover?
A large majority of the music featured on the blog tends to lean on the heavier side of genres. With Rock, Punk, Post-Punk, Indie covered pretty frequently each month. Although there is a little slice of Pop, Dance, Hip-Hop thrown into the mix too.
As a rough guide, the genres we tend not to feature are: Metal, Reggae, Rap, Electronica, House, Techno.
