Alec Benjamin smashed his penultimate show of his EU and UK ‘(UN)COMMENTARY’ tour last Friday night in Glasgow.
The SWG3 Warehouse was jam packed with fans who had been queuing all day to get a eagle eye view of his set which included a wide range of his discography such as ‘Older’, ‘Hipocrite’, ‘Annabelle’s Homework’ and big hit ‘Let Me Down Slowly’ that he performed with his electric guitar which suddenly sounded so much heavier, that it gave a new edge to the 2018 ballad-esque single.
His four-piece band that the singer repeatedly showed appreciation for and hyped up throughout his set also carried a weight of electric energy that really amplified the background sonics with songs such as ‘Devil Doesn’t Bargain’ which included the most incredible guitar-studded intro that fit the tone of the song perfectly.
The singer sweetly interacted with the crowd consistently and even gave them a chance to request a song on his piano in the improv part of the set towards the end which makes each show a little bit different and memorable to all fans.
Alec Benjamin has the power to stick in your head for week’s on end with his catchy, witty lyrics and dramatic melodies; and when you think it couldn’t get any more hypnotic, his live show brings it all to life with the most beautiful surprises.
