Arliston – ‘Mothering’ / New Single

Arliston are a London-based band that first arrived on the music scene in 2018 with debut EP ‘Hawser’, and they’ve been going from strength to strength ever since. The three-piece band, which comprises Jack Ratcliffe, George Hasbury and Jordi Bosch, have just unveiled their brand-new single, ‘Mothering’. The track follows on the back of their ‘The Ground Might Disappear’ EP, which was released earlier this year and garnered positive reviews and almost one million Spotify streams.

‘Mothering’ is exquisite from start to finish. Packed with sublime vocals, lush harmonies and a beautiful, stripped-back production, the track will surely help continue the band’s impressive rise. It also whets the appetite for what’s to come – the band have announced a new EP, ‘Even In The Shade’, is due for release later this year. If ‘Mothering’ is anything to go by, the project will be a must-hear when it eventually arrives.

Speaking further on ‘Mothering’, George Hasbury says, “I’m so happy with how this one came together. We always try to keep a lid on the productions; it’s too easy nowadays to use all the toys on every song! But with ‘Mothering’ I think we’ve managed to get a real sense of groove and momentum into such a small arrangement.”

Clearly a band packed with talent and a bright future ahead, Arliston have proven with ‘Mothering’ that they’re here to stay, and it’s only a matter of time before everyone else catches on. With more music expected later this year, 2022 will no doubt be their biggest year yet.
