There’s something about songs under 3 minutes that I just love, and Clear Vinyl’s latest track ‘Show Me How To Live’ falls under that category. After the band faced their feelings in 2019, they were back with purpose in 2020, gifting us ‘Tonight’ in the process. In 2021, the four-piece want to continue with their momentum and have done with their latest track ‘Show Me How To Live’.
With a classic story of wanting to get away, with someone taking your hand “showing you how to live”, the band deliver a guitar centric pop-bending delight. The build for the song is well paced, and after 30 seconds your thrown into the first chorus which was created for crowds to lose their mind to.
The style has similar vibes to The 1975’s earlier stuff, however with much less synths but more guitars (and not whiney in the slightest). The production of the track is ridiculous for an independent band, if it was slipped into a Radio 1 playlist you wouldn’t bat an eyelid – it’s the impeccable.
Really enjoyed the vocal performance on the track aswell, so well delivered to the point now the words are engrained on the brain. So happy for Clear Vinyl and that they’re back for 2021, hopefully there’s much more to come from them!
