Djo announces new album + first ever global tour

Joe Keery, best known for his iconic portrayal of Steve Harrington on Netflix’s Stranger Things, is a multi-talented artist whose skills extend well beyond acting. In his early twenties, he made his musical debut under the name Cool Cool Cool before joining the psychedelic rock band Post Animal. Since parting ways with the band, Joe has focused on his solo career, creating music under the name Djo, showcasing his evolving artistry and diverse musical influences.

With two successful albums already in his discography, Joe’s third album is generating significant buzz. Titled The Cruz and co-produced with his longtime collaborator Adam Thein, the album was recorded at the historic Electric Lady Studios and is set for release on 4th April 2025. Written during his travels across the globe, it sees Joe fuse lush instrumentation with influences from late 60s and 70s pop. To build anticipation, its lead single, ‘Basic Being Basic‘ is out now. Blending quirky lyrics about contemporary culture with infectious, groovy rhythms, the introspecive track offers a perfect glimpse into the unique soundscape fans can expect from the full album.

The excitement continues to build as Joe has also revealed a full slate of tour dates. His first-ever global tour, Djo – Back On You Tour, will feature none other than Post Animal as support. Kicking off in New Zealand next month, the five-month tour will take Joe across Australia, North America, the UK, and Europe, wrapping up at the end of June in Amsterdam.
