HEAD BALLET return with “Living In My Head”. The new single is the penultimate release from the duo’s upcoming EP, and was co-written with Circa Waves’ Keiran Shudall, which is pretty cool.
Written about the feeling of fully opening up to someone, the single feels like a big breath of relief. Exploring the flood of emotions that comes with knowing you can confide and trust in someone completely, its instrumental is layered with wave after wave of synthesiser. Bringing a vibrant, bouncy sound to the forefront that feels joyous to hear.
It is infectious and impossible to dislike. The beats sink into the mind with ease, and with the simple chorus overlayed on top, HEAD BALLET have created one of the catchiest songs of the year. It’s great, and certainly the song that gets us excited to hear more of this mind-filling sound on this soon to be released EP.
