Idle Noise are back with a bold statement with their latest track ‘Death to Modern Life’. The Coventry band are quickly becoming an act to take notice of, and the latest instalment shows why.
With bands like The Clause and CANDID delivering these larger than life tracks, you have Idle Noise creating their very own with ‘Death to Modern Life’. The band have already branded it their best song to date, and it’s hard to disagree. Masterfully produced and layered, we’re blessed with some wonderful harmonies and piercing guitars.
The chorus is absolutely huge, with lead singer Ben Brandist belting out; “Death to modern life”, you could easily see a sizeable crowd losing their tiny minds to this one. Citing The Enemy as key influencers when writing music, you can see how this song was birthed. It’s big and anthemic, two things The Enemy were known for. The sharp stabs on the drums drive the ‘death to modern life’ point across, along with it’s overtly energetic performance.
There’s a host of bands at the moment producing these chorus-driven bangers, and the production is so spot on. Drop it on a Radio 1 playlist, and you wouldn’t notice the difference. With live shows slowly returning it could be the making for these bands, and Idle Noise are included in that list.
