Isle of Wight Festival / Showcase

This year we had the pleasure of attending the Isle of Wight Festival. We were able to capture performances from the likes of The Vaccines, Wet Leg, Blossoms, Lewis Capaldi among others. We were also able to sit down and have a chat with WYNT, who performed at this year’s festival for the very first time.

I had the opportunity to sit down with up-and-coming alt-rock – with a little bit of indie mixed in there – band, WYNT. The five-piece band came together in 2018 and already they’re playing Isle of Wight festival. I got to chat with them before their set, and I was really blown away by their stage presence and their ability to draw in a crowd, especially with the Vaccines preparing to open the main stage. They explained how ready they were to go onstage and it was great to see them.

“We’re feeling great, it’s our first major festival so we’re all pretty buzzing. It’s warm, but we’ll put 100% in, get a big sweat on, have a few tinnies and get everyone singing along. Can’t wait!“

They really held their own and showed everyone that it wont be long till we’ll be seeing them in the Big Top. It’s easy to see see why the are fan favourite, from being featured on BBC Radio 2 and beyond. They are a hard working group of lads, raring to put the work in to make this a success. Their music really pulls you in and takes you on a journey. I personally have been adding them in to my playlist, I really can’t get enough. I did bug them asking when the album is coming, at this point they’ve got 5 singles out so I think it’s it’s time for the album! They were quick to point out how important it was to them to get it right before they release their album but they emphasised that it’s on its way.

Make sure to catch them at Swansea’s first ‘The Big Indie Festival’ in 6th August and then in October at the Cardiff’s Sŵn Festival. They also wanted to add: “Thanks to everyone that’s supported us so far, don’t forget to stream our music, watch our vids, stay in school and eat your vegetables”. – WYNT.
