Singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan has released her new single, ‘The Lesson’ – a heartfelt and introspective track that has quickly become a fan favourite since its live debut last year.
Written about the profound experience of losing a parent, the track highlights Lucy’s continued gift for storytelling through song. Her emotive vocals take centerstage, gently woven with soulful, delicate piano that deepens the track’s tender, sorrowful tone.
‘The Lesson’ is one of two new tracks on Lucy’s upcoming album, Other Sides of the Moon, which drops on 20th June 2025. Lucy jokingly called it a “cheat album” on her recent run of dates, since the majority of the songs have been released before – but that sells it short. This isn’t just a rehash; it’s a bold reimagining. The album pulls together standout tracks from across her career, stripping them down, rebuilding them, and injecting them with fresh energy and hard-earned perspective.
