Manchester Psych Fest // Festival Preview

Manchester Psych Fest has unveiled a final wave of acts ahead of this year’s edition of the psychedelic extravaganza taking place later this month.

New artists are joining an already stacked line up featuring the likes of BC Camplight, Altin Gün, The Horrors, New Dad and Fat Dog

Held on Saturday 31st August, the festival recently added black midi frontman Geordie Greep, psych rock four-piece The Wytches and Stereolab founder Laetitia Sadier with her Source Ensemble.

Also joining the bill are Dublin four-piece Melts, Austin psych outfit Daiistar, lo-fi multi-instrumentalist Lutalo and psych-punk trio Hot Face.

With a roster of over 70 acts announced, festival organisers are also thrilled to reveal that acclaimed East London indie label Fuzz Club Records will host their own stage for the very first time at The Bread Shed, just off Oxford Road. The label, known for its laser focus on the most exciting raw, experimental rock, brings with them some serious talent for the stage takeover.

Psych fest brings a scintillating programme and expanded festival experience to Manchester’s city centre featuring venues such as the Albert Hall, O2 Ritz, CYCO VISION (Projects Skatepark), Manchester Metropolitan University Students’ Union, Gorilla, YES, Deaf Institute and The Bread Shed – hosting live music, video installations, DJs, workshops, arts, films, talks, and an eclectic mix of food and drink.

Final tickets are selling fast. You can grab yours via manchesterpsychfest.com.
