Natalie Carr – ‘Scraped Knees’ / New Single

A track best described as natural and meant to be, ‘Scraped Knees’ is the hypnotising new single from Charlotte, NC based singer-songwriter Natalie Carr. Produced alongside John McCall and Dillon Lawter, the alt-pop anthem has subtle fragrances of alt-R&B throughout to create Natalie’s powerful, signature sound. Receiving support from the likes of CLOUT, 1883 Magazine and Music News, Natalie’s new release showcases that this songstress refuses to be limited to one specific avenue.

Telling the hard-hitting story of getting sober and changing yourself for a relationship that inevitably is going to fail, ‘Scraped Knees’ tells a familiar story we’ve all been part of at least once in our lives so far. Musically, the track begins with an enchanting synthesiser that comes across as rhythmically wonderful. Definitely armed with an authentic and optimistic sound, the lyrics feel quite delicate in places. For example, ‘don’t you worry about me, you never worried about me’ means the said person trying to come back into your life even though it never worked out before.

Effortlessly original and easily one of the strongest voices I’ve heard in a long time, Natalie Carr deserves to be a household name. What makes Natalie stand out firmly from the crowd is her personal songwriting. Confidently put out there, ‘Scraped Knees’ is the type of song you’d listen to when you’re needing a safe haven.

Transport to the musical mind of Natalie Carr in breathtaking ‘Scraped Knees’, you won’t be disappointed
