noelle – 30k / EP Review

Canadian artists noelle has shared her genre-blending EP ’30k’. The 6 track offering shows off the rising star’s luscious vocals and unique sound throughout. Let’s take you through our favourite moments from this solid record.

The EP kicks off with lead track ‘Forever Yours’, a stunningly delicate pop track infused with vintage guitar and an R&B flow. You know from this track that there’s a little something for everyone in noelle’s sound.

Next up is ‘Therapy’, the ethereal indie-pop track racks up the highest streams so far on the EP and we’re not surprised. This is clearly a deeply personal and cathartic track for noelle, who also wears her heart on her sleeve for tracks ‘Season Changes’ and ‘Hate That I Miss You’.

noelle’s mainstream appeal comes out on ‘Hope You’re Happy’. With a full-on Ariana Grande vibe, noelle’s soaring vocals impress on this lively track that was also released as a single in 2021. You can find a similar sound on the EP’s title track ’30k’ which closes the EP with an empowering vocal line and a sassy soundscape.

We hear from noelle herself on creating the EP:

“Since the release of my first single, I knew that I wanted this EP to represent me as an artist and I’m really proud that we’ve achieved that.”

“It was so important for me to make sure 30k showcased every side of my artistry, proving that I’m not one-dimensional. This approach to crafting an EP allowed me to be free during the writing process, making music I felt my fans would love.” noelle adds.
