Pale Waves headline O2 Victoria Warehouse, Manchester / Gig Showcase

Pale Waves took to the O2 Victoria Warehouse stage performing to an energetic home crowd on Tuesday, and they didn’t disappoint!

The night started with two support acts; the first being Bitters, who warmed the crowd up with their alt-pop set including throwback renditions of ‘Stacy’s Mom’ (Fountains Of Wayne) and ‘Cool’ (Gwen Stefani), which was completely satisfying and got the crowd ready for the night of brilliant British music.

The next support was Hot Milk, who shared the home crowd of Manchester with their high energy emo-pop set; a complete whirlwind of strobe lighting which matched their powerful music. They fully hyped up the crowd, even jumping off the stage and straight to the barriers of fans who were more than pleased with the abrupt interaction as they performed songs from their latest EP, I JUST WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I’M DEAD.

It wasn’t long before headliners Pale Waves hit the stage and opened with ‘Change’, a single from their latest album released last year, Who Am I?, their second full-length album. The set included other hits from the album including ‘Easy’, ‘Tomorrow’ and ‘Odd Ones Out’, and new yet to be released single, ‘Jealousy’ which went down well with the energetic crowd.

The four-piece also performed hits from their debut album (My Mind Makes Noises, released in 2018) including big single ‘Eighteen’, ‘Red’ and ‘Television Romance’.

The mixed sounds of new synth-pop and indie influences filled the warehouse creating an unforgettable atmosphere when they played ‘She’s My Religion’ at the end of the night, the performance pleased all fans, new and old of the Mancunian band.

They create such a unique sound and are really enjoyable to watch – Pale Waves are not to be missed!

Keep up with the band:
