The Liverpool based five-piece are back with another heartbreak fuelled banger.
Paris Youth Foundation are the scouse indie rockers who have gained brilliant momentum since kicking off in 2017; having played Reading festival, toured with The Magic Gang and completed their first headline UK tour all before the pandemic it’s safe to say they have plenty of experience under their belts.
The new track follows previous 2021 singles ‘The Back Seat’ and ‘Tomorrow’, and lyrically, Potter is sticking to what he knows with this hard-hitting post-breakup anthem. As always, the track is raw and honest; Paris Youth Foundation are known for their melancholic yet upbeat indie sound, but ‘Tired Of Loving You’ turns up the sorrow to a new degree. Frontman Kevin Potter commented:
“Tired Of Loving You is about the exhausted feeling after a drawn-out breakup, realising that the calls from your ex in the middle of the night aren’t because they miss you, but because they are too scared to admit it’s over. Without honesty, that cycle of drunken missed calls could loop forever. Just two people who would rather keep putting themselves through this than admit it’s done. There are no happy endings like in the movies.”
