Scottish indie quartet release another banger.
Pizza Crunch: the fourpiece who have been selling out Glasgow shows and enjoying radio support from BBC introducing, Amazing Radio and more since kicking off their musical career in 2020. The Scots made a glorious return at the end of January with ‘Flatfoot’ which marks their first release of 2022!
Kicking off the new year with a bang, their latest offering features infectious driving guitar riffs, sharp lyricism, a thrashing rhythm section, and driving drums topped by Ewan’s vocals as he sings personal lyrics about an eventful evening.
Ewan Hearns commented on the track: “Lockdown impacted people in a variety of different ways. I was lucky, I’d just moved into a new flat and welcomed the freedom and time to kill. I think the more jovial tone in the Flatfoot lyrics reflects this time of my life, some of our recent releases have a little bit of a dark undertone to them whereas this one deals with more superficial issues.”
‘Flatfoot’ was written over lockdown and produced by Chris Marshall in Glasgow and it marks the end of a chapter for Pizza Crunch as they embark on a new, more expansive project. We will be waiting patiently to see what the quartet get up to next!
