Gigs & FestivalsPreview: Lazydays Festival 2025

Preview: Lazydays Festival 2025

Lazydays Festival returns at Southend’s Priory Park from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th July. We had a blast attending last year, as it absolutely filled the need for a music festival in Essex. Following the huge success of its debut year, the organisers are bringing it back with another massive line-up and a ton of changes that are set to make it even better.

Tickets are moving fast, so get booking before they’re all gone!

LINEUP

This year’s headliners are Example, who’ll be closing off a Friday night that’ll be full of club classics and bangers. Embrace and Peter Doherty will be headlining on Saturday, which will be a full day session rather than two for this year. Finishing off the weekend will be Soul II Soul, who will bring a more chilled vibe to the festival on Sunday. It’s a great mix of names and genres that’ll provide something for everybody no doubt.

The names don’t stop there, as the likes of Katy B, The Coral, Badly Drawn Boy, Pip Blom – who’s new EP Grip is great, by the way – and Maverick Sabre will be appearing across the weekend. As a fan and follower of the band for years, we’re particularly excited to see Low Girl perform on the The Big Hop stage, which is brand new to Lazydays this year.

Having two separate stages means a greater list of artists to check out, and we’re going to make sure to catch Ellur, Isla Rico, Fiona-Lee, The Rills, Human Interest and Ruth Lyon as they’ve all released new music this year.

Here’s a look at stage times across the weekend.

FOOD & DRINK

As well as extra music, there’s also a lot of food & drink options to choose from. Lazydays has partnered up with local businesses to bring their goods to the festival. We were legitimately about to list the food we would try out, but it all sounded good. Fried chicken, pizza, burgers, chinese…it’s got the lot, and we can’t wait to try it all out.

In terms of drink, there’s a range available, including alcohol, non-alcohol and gluten free options. You can choose from beers, ciders, IPAs, cocktails, mocktails…a whole lot of choice that’ll go down well in the sunny times and good vibes of the weekend.

You can check out the full lineup here.

CHARITY

Something cool about Lazydays is that it will be raising money for YMCA Southend’s All in Music programme, which provides music opportunities for 11 to 25 years olds. The money raised will buy instruments, equipment and resources for the project, which works with more than 800 young people each year.

Overall, Lazydays Festival 2025 is looking to be a blast, and we’re excited to be there. It was so good to have a festival close to home, and it looks like the organisers have built on the foundations they started last year.

If you’re going, let us know which artists you’re most excited to check out!
