Manchester alt rockers SINKR are gearing up for a big 2022 and at the back end of 2021 they gave us a taster of what we can expect from their forthcoming album.
Lead single ‘Boutique‘ with its groove and instant guitar riffs make you feel like you’re back in the early 1990s. That being said I also get a vibe of Placebo in the early part of the track.
A heavy indie sound and booming guitar are backed by outstanding melodic vocals by front man Simon.
The riffs on this are instantly memorable and props to some outstanding guitar work as it absorbs into your brain.
The b side “Where’s The Sky?” has a more immediate feel on first listen. The guitar work has a Feeder like feel to it. Think Feeder meets grunge. The drumming is more subtle on this one and this song has a more straight at you indie feel than its sexy A side. Both outstanding tracks.
This is a band going places in 2022 and with an album and gigs already planned we can expect big things from the lads. ‘Boutique’ and ‘Where’s The Sky?’ are available to stream now.
