South Arcade are a 5-person band who’ve built up a following on Instagram and TikTok in the last year, building a community of music lovers and fans. And to top it off, they’re heading on their arc.angel tour in March this year!
Their latest release was the quickly popular ‘Nepo Baby’ which Alyx Holcombe from Radio 1 introducing rock described as a Y2K revival. ‘Nepo Baby’ has already been featured in numerous official playlists, played on Radio 1 several times, and made it to the band’s top popular songs on Spotify, despite only having been released 12th of January this year.
When playing it as her track of the week, Holcombe explained that this track sounded like No Doubt meets Avril Lavigne. She couldn’t have been more right. ‘Nepo Baby’ is the perfect punk meets 2000s pop beat, reflecting the bands interest and influences in 2000s music. It’s a highly catchy song with echoing affects with the vocals and a fast beat, creating a fun sound. The perfect song for singing and dancing to, definitely a band I’m aiming to see live. South Arcade are certainly a band to watch out for this coming year! You can find information about their tours, tickets, and upcoming music on their Instagram.
