The Geordie five-piece, that describe themselves as “not quite pop-punk, not quite indie-rock,” have never failed to amaze us both here at Dead Good, and within their local scene since their debut in 2019. And my lord, have they only gone and done It again with Illogical, which is an exuberant track that just makes you want to bust your best moves with a cider in hand.
Ben Mackett’s lead vocals evoke a feeling of comfort – theirs is a voice we all know and love – and Nathan, Callum, Jacob, and Rhys use their combined musical genius to bring the track to life. Sexy guitar riffs and the funkiest bassline you ever did hear make Illogical the most logical thing since sliced bread.
