St. Buryan are back with their first single in two years – ‘Wait For Me’. A lot has changed in the last two years: we can easily go “no” to all attempts for our managers to wish us back in the office because of the glorious rise in normalcy of WFH and well, I write for a new blog now. It is a pleasure to welcome St. Buryan under the Dead Good Music umbrella.
Despite so much time away, St. Buryan still know how to deliver the goods. ‘Wait For Me’ brings back the massive sound we’ve come to expect, with a memorable main riff that leaves a big impact, as well as the stark contrast between upbeat instruments and downtrodden lyrics. The heartstrung chorus is met with thunderous riffs that dig deep into the eardrums. Making space for all sorts of noodling to fall into place. But as much as it is hits hard, it also comes with a strong sense of groove to get the hips swinging too.
‘Wait For Me’ is great. It has that big St. Buryan energy of making you dance whilst upset at the same time. One of their most hard-hitting yet. Welcome back, lads.
