Stone Fruit – Hold Me Close / EP Review

London based duo Stone Fruit should be at the top of everyone’s agendas to check out. Back with their third EP length project, Hold Me Close is a stunningly beautiful piece of art best served on a good set of speakers. Armed with gorgeous undertones, carefully crafted synthesisers and complicated arrangements, the EP closely follows single ‘Second Guess’. Standing as a shining example of what the duo do best, Hold Me Close is fuelled with talent and effortless performances. Bathed with emotive melodies that will leave you leaning for a box of tissues, the EP also has moments of reassurance.

The fruit of their longstanding friendship, you can hear Stone Fruit’s chemistry throughout. Blending elements of soul, pop, R&B and electronica together, the five-track EP builds with momentum with each listen. Perfectly finishing off with an ethereal cover of the cult classic ‘Everywhere’ by Fleetwood Mac, the EP is a shoulder to lean on when times are tough.

Get lost in the dreamy world of Stone Fruit, we can assure you, you won’t be disappointed.
