SWEET SPINE are back with “Lights Out”. The trio are experiencing a real rocketstrap to stardom, as their single “Darkness” made its way onto the viral wave of TikTok last year. I’m not too dabbled in the world of TikTok, but I imagine the song made a great pairing with some cooking videos, or people punching each other in the face. Either way, I’d watch it.
Already causing a stir in the world of Alt-Rock, their newest single is sure to keep the hype building and the walls crumbling. Taking influences from the likes of Deftones and Paramore, “Lights Out” contains riffs that are sure to blow out your speakers, in the best way possible. It creeps between moments of huge, raw explosions of noise. With vocals that whisper sinister requests on top of an instrumental that builds in tension. Ready to erupt at any moment. It has this ability to creep in the shadows, making you uneasy and enjoying every second of it.
It’s a blistering listen and definitely captures your attention. SWEET SPINE have a lot of eyes on them at the moment, and this new single proves that it’s deserved. Definitely ones to watch, we’re excited to hear what they do next.
