Ten Eighty Trees – ‘The Incubator’ / New Single

Ten Eighty Trees drop another raucous single in ‘The Incubator’. Having blown the eardrums already earlier in the year with ‘Pathfinder’, the trio have returned right as the ringing began to lessen. Thanks guys.

Written about returning to the safety of home after dealing with the outside world *shudder*, ‘The Incubator’ is a heavy hitting anthem for the socially anxious. As to be expected from the Trees, their new single is packed with unrelenting guitars. Launching into a brutal performance that shakes the anxiety loose and gets you feeling like you could conquer any social situation. It’s arguably the most aggressive form of taking a breath we’ve come across, but what an exhilarating breath it is.

The Trees know how to make a lot of noise and ‘The Incubator’ manages to push the boundaries even further compared to past material. But for as much noise as it creates, there’s also a lot of hooks inside that keep you coming back for more. The chorus is dying to be screamed out at a live show, and the battering of the drums will always be unnerving. What a great song. Our ears hurt.
