Cumbrian five-piece The Silver Bars have returned with their new track ‘The Morning’. Opening with deep and foreboding vocals, the track gets off to an enigmatic start which quickly transitions as it bursts into indie sonics. Although the track seemingly moves on from its darker side as bouncing guitars and a euphoric vocal line is introduced, the lyrics retain themes of paranoia and dread. An indie-gem that stands out from the crowd, ‘The Morning’ illustrates a sound completely unique to The Silver Bars.
The track follows on from their debut EP ‘No Luxuries’ along with two other singles that have awarded ‘The Silver Bars’ a loyal and growing fanbase. Since their inception in late 2019 in Barrow in Furness, the band has pushed the boundaries of their sound, ‘The Morning’ is a culmination of that, mixing Merseybeat with their more current indie-oriented ideas.
The band tributes their hometown as a reason for this exploration. Not coming from an established music city has granted The Silver Bars the freedom to experiment without worrying about or having to follow in the pre-determined sound of a particular city.
With plenty more tracks in the pipeline and the promise of more live shows across the UK, ‘The Silver Bars’ are expected to go from strength to strength.
