Rochdale based indie rockers The Sprats have been gaining a reputation on the live scene as of late. Last week, I was given a preview of their debut single “Why Would I With You”.
It’s a straight-at-you indie rocker with a beautiful melodic piano which compliments the track perfectly. With a punchy guitar sound which builds to a crescendo about 2 minutes in, this is certain to be a live favourite.
It’s a big sound in every sense of the word and is made even bigger towards the end by a dramatic, even more prominent piano sound. This adds to the epic ambitions of this track.
The Sprats are a band definitely gaining a loyal following and with more live gigs planned in 2022, we are going to be hearing a lot more from them.
Their next gig is 21 April at Night People, Manchester and this banger of a track is available to stream now.
