‘Jett’ is the new single from Wavey Days. Since releasing his first single last year, the Leeds artist has not wasted any time filling out his discography. Releasing a whole load of tunes that all have the same goal: to get those feet tapping. It’s a very Poppy, upbeat set of songs, and ‘Jett’ might just be the most foot-tapping-y of the lot.
Written and named after the birth of his son, ‘Jett’ is wonky indie Pop at its best. It has that effortless quality to it that makes it so good to listen to. Launching into an immediate intro that’s easy on the ears but full of sunshine. Bringing melodies, breezy chords and harmonies that could meander in our minds forever.
If your feet haven’t tapped the most they’ve tapped this year, then surely you can agree that ‘Jett’ is a frontrunner for the most wholesome song of the year. Outside of the achingly lovely father and son relationship on display, it feels like THE song for the summer. It’s great and undeniably catchy. And absolutely needs to be included in your summer playlists this year.
