Wes King – Easy Art / EP Review

Maidstone’s Wes King recently released his debut, solo EP Easy Art after departing his previous band Tres Kings earlier this year. Although from Kent there’s a distinctive Manchester Indie influence to his tunes.

That being said the title track gives me a Kinks feel with the style of vocals backed by a distinctive punchy guitar sound, and second track “Come Home” has a definite Libertines vibe.

The EP continues in gentler style with piano driven ballad “Somebody’ where Wes pairs up with vocalist Bea King before finishing with the catchy upbeat  “Daytime TV”

This collection of songs is an outstanding, diverse and interesting mix of music with strong vocal delivery and outstanding production by a talent who will continue to explore different musical styles.

These four tracks are available to stream now.
