YUNGBLUD: LIFE ON MARS TOUR AT MANCHESTER VICTORIA WAREHOUSE
It was the second night in Manchester at the Victoria Warehouse on Yungblud’s Life On Mars Tour and his or the crowd’s energy didn’t falter.
The crowd were fully warmed up from support acts, Daisy Brain and Renforshort and just about lost it when the lights went down and the projection of Yungblud (Dominic Harrison)’s mouth appeared on the kabuki curtain with a pre-recorded message hyping up the crowd prior to his arrival.
“Before I walk out on this stage, I need you to answer 4 simple questions, can you do that for me? Question 1: are you ready to scream louder than you’ve ever screamed before?” The fans screaming back could’ve been heard in the next stop on his tour, his hometown, Doncaster.
He finally appeared on stage going into his hit ‘Strawberry Lipstick’ – the Yorkshire man’s energy will be the most exciting energy you’ll ever see from a solo artist – photographers in the pit were constantly moving like loose hens trying to capture just some of it (I was one of the hens).
He went on to perform some of his other hits including newly released ‘Fleabag’ and one of the slightly older but recently more fan engaging with some help from TikTok, ‘Parents’ – which the crowd absolutely loved screaming the lyrics to.
Dom is a definite must-see; his voice, his stage presence, his engagement and overall genuine aura is not to be missed!
