Scottish newcomer Aiden Driver returns with a lovely new tune.
Need something to soundtrack your breakup? Well look no further because Aiden Driver is here with a cinematic pop track about lost love and acceptance. Aiden hails from Stirling, Scotland, and this year he is on an upwards trajectory. ‘You and I’ marks his fifth release of 2022, and he’s only just getting started!
His latest single offers introspective lyrics about a failed romance. Think teary-eyed 3am breakup vibes to the sound of an intricately produced soundscape. It features brilliant layered vocals, emotive piano and violin, and Aiden’s melodic, silky-smooth voice with his Scottish accent shining through.
Aiden has sonically and lyrically captured that feeling of late-night drama and lost love, of longing and letting go. Driver commented: “After writing ‘One More Day’ this new creative space led to this new song being written the next day, following the narrative, it’s part 2 of a 3-part set of singles that tell the story of a heartbreak. First was the pre-breakup begging for one more day, this new song is about accepting that it’s over, and the 3rd track (which will be released in June) is about the spiral that follows post- breakup, it’s my first try dabbling with narratives but I believe it tells a cohesive story.”
