FeatureFruit Salad - April 2024

Fruit Salad – April 2024

Welcome to the inaugural Fruit Salad! Where we celebrate a whole bunch of artists, their new music and, most importantly, their favourite fruit. Earlier this month, I put out a tweet asking for anybody who’s releasing something new in April to get in touch for our esteemed Peeled Back series. The response was unreal – so many people got involved that it felt bad to just ignore all of that good effort, so the Fruit Salad is here to promote everybody and their new noise too.

Winter Boyfriend: “Hi Adam, thanks for asking! Before I say my favourite fruit I’ve gotta shout out some honourable mentions: Orange. Classic, perfect juice, the true north of drinkable fruit. Lime. Maybe not the star of the show, but elevates everyone around them. True team player. Passion Fruit – if they worked hard on the texture and ease of eating, they could take this, because flavour wise? Absolutely flawless.

The best is Raspberry! Beautiful to look at, easy to eat, delicious raw, beautiful to cook with, simple yet complex, a bit of acidity with the sweet, classic, but elevated! TLDR: Raspberry forever!”

Aside from providing the best answer here, Winter Boyfriend also released their latest single ‘wide awake’ on April 2nd.

Thank you to everybody who got involved, and also to Hannah for the name. I’d like to make this a monthly series so if you’d like to take part, feel free to follow me on Twitter! You could even tell me which of the above artists become your new favourite for the month. How sweet. THANK YOU.
