After a sensational 2021, with the release of his second album Seventh Sense Libido, Jack Conman had a quiet 2022 for releasing music. However after that quiet period, we’re happy to say that Jack is back with his brand new song ‘Utopian Bliss’!
Jack is known for his dreamy vocals layered over an acoustic guitar, but with this new track he dips his toes into a more poppy sound – and the result are wonderful. The song opens with the lyrics ‘I wanna live in a utopian bliss, where you want me all the time’, and on first listen from that one line I knew I wanted to hear it again and give it another play.
The guitar is warm and inviting, although it’s driven by an acoustic guitar, it’s layered with these softer sounds making it sound like it was birthed directly from summer. The track is put together so well, with these subtle piano sounds in the background, and the perfection of the vocal duet over the lyrics ‘wherever you are’. The song is so clean and fresh, if it was to drop into a radio 1 playlist it wouldn’t sound out of place whatsoever.
Jack has been around for nearly 9 years now (musically, not complete existence) and he’s always had this quality for writing great songs, but I think this is the sound of a musician who has found his sound and so confident with what his doing now and what he wants from his music. This will be a welcome addition to his setlist, a setlist which I hope to catch this year.
