Kael Alden is an American songwriter who has just released his debut album – Saturated Highs, an album which feels complete from start to finish.
The album meanders through various spaces musically but is rooted somewhere between a place of electronic, synth and for whatever reason, a sense of comfort – that Kael knows what he’s doing and where he is next going to bring you.
Lyrically, songs like ‘How Can You Sit There?’ tap into a world of Kael’s struggles dealing with the geo-political landscape at the minute. This is juxtaposed with ‘Thin Air’ which brings us on a different kind of voyage, one of serenity. This is further elevated by the accompanying self-directed music video by Alden. ‘Keep it Up’ explores a more upbeat side of the artist, and displays clear he has a talent for rhythm. The closing track ‘I Feel The Changes’ give us the sense that there is an underlying positivity around despite all of the issues in the world.
To round it all off, this is a great example of self-exploration, that is now expressed in a way that we can all experience – a 14 track album which you can continue to return to. It’s available now, so check it out below.
