Hailing from cultural hotspots of Italy, London and Brighton, psych rockers Lime Juice have recently released their spellbinding new single ‘Prince’. The almighty 10-minute showstopper. It’s a song that, for its own good, finds it hard to sit still and definitely captivated listeners from the first to the last note.
Inspired by the legends such as King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and Tame Impala it’s clear from this epic release that Lime Juice are well on their way to becoming next in the psych rock n roll hall of fame.
As we join Lime Juice on their hypnotic journey, of kaleidoscopic grooves, looming chugs of bass and even touches of Arabic influences. This single was also partly inspired by the retro video game ‘Prince of Persia’ as the band explain:
“This inspired guitarist/vocalist Alessandro to include an elaborate narrative telling the story of a Prince. This text subsequently inspired the idea of designing a complex song structure following the narrative flow within the music and that gave us all space to experiment, and that’s how “Prince” was born”
