There is a new Welsh rock band in our midst, and they go by the name of The Fiends. The young and fierce five piece have been taking over their homeland since their inception during the peak pandemic, and have gone from strength to strength since. Showing no signs of slowing down, they have released another offering of their cascading rock sound in ‘Cyanide’.
Depicting the youthful exuberance that we all go through, The Fiends channel this energy into a huge wall of sound that is mesmerising and powerful. The lead vocals are ever present and keep you hooked throughout, with a chorus that is as catchy as any you’ll hear in the modern indie scene. ‘Cyanide’ is another example of The Fiends’ overwhelming craft, meaning they could be a band that’s set to stay for a long time.
The band say that “Cyanide is an outlook on youth that reflects on being young and dumb with alcohol and drugs. From Ethan’s perspective, it’s what almost everyone experiences going to a house party that is often a rush of chaotic energy.
