I had the pleasure of having a sneak preview of Craig Lee and the Humblebees’ latest offering ‘Built On Bones’ – an act certainly keeping busy as they released their new single last Friday.
I’ve had the privilege of listening to Craig’s tunes for the last 18 months and have enjoyed the upbeat catchy 50’s style that these songs have brought. ‘Built On Bones’ has a very different vibe with a more contemporary feel to it. In fact, having spoken to Craig recently he acknowledged the change in style.
That being said, it’s yet another banger. As catchy as previous releases, it flows effortlessly over the three-minute duration. With thought provoking lyrics touching on lives being torn apart and soldiers being told to retrain – it’s an absolute masterpiece.
The beauty of being a music fan is following an artist from the start and watching them progress. In Craig Lee we have a major talent.
